What Happened?

  • Moments after winning his bout Z Gorres collapsed in the ring. He was rushed to the trauma unit and underwent brain surgery. Almost more than a month later he is still in the hospital and his prognosis is uncertain.

    The doctors are hopeful he can return home to the Philippines but he will need your support. Z is paralyzed and will need special accommodations to travel including a doctor and monitoring equipment.

    We plan to raise only the amount needed. A daily update on the amount of money raised will be posted on this website. Those who wish to be acknowledged for their contributions can have their names published here. Anonymous donations are also appreciated.

  • 01/15/09 Has been dischared from the hospital. Z was seen by Dr. Gerland to start, comprehensive rehab outpatient. He has visited also West Charleston Medical Center for a routine check up today by Dr. Benito Calderon. Z is doing well.
  • 01/14/09 Z Will be released from the hospital Tomorrow.
